Her mother had secretly maintained contact with him through letters delivered by an agent. To protect Edrea, her mother fabricated a story, claiming her father had died in a car bombing, with no remains ever found. Trusting her mother and aware of her fragile mental state, Edrea never questioned the narrative.After her mother’s death, Edrea began to suspect there might be a connection between her father’s past work and the murder.
